IN MY BACKPACK
1.2l bottle of water, with enough to spare for the dog as it was very hot!
As I had came here the day before, I decided it would be good to again park at the Mountain Bike carpark and walk down to the beach from there. It was a bit too hot to do the whole loop, as a lot of it was exposed. There is very little shelter here, so make sure you have your sunblock, and a hat!
We decided to just do a short walk down to the beach, check out the wharf and then back up the hill. That was certainly a long enough walk for the heat of the day, and the dogs got a nice dip in the water. I think this would make an amazing day out, if you brought an umbrella and set up at the beach. There are very nice clean toilets, a food truck and lots of parking down at the beach.
Just remember, when walking downhill you’re going to have to come back up it!
